Meet our Fitness Instructor Tracie.
Tracie is available Tuesday nights.
Tracie is certified as a Personal Trainer and as a Specialist in Exercise Therapy.
She specializes in brain and balance exercises, which are beneficial to the aging and individuals who have had a stroke or a closed head injury. She teaches her own “Brain and Balance” class, as well as partnering with the YMCA to teach “A Matter of Balance” classes biannually. She is currently studying for a Fitness Nutrition Certificate. Tracie also has 14 years’ experience as a massage therapist and neural muscular therapist.
Tracie is available Tuesday nights and offers a free core class at 5:45pm on Tuesdays, this workout focuses on abdominal, back, and hip strength and flexibility.
She believes that we all need to stay moving, to stay healthy as we age. Tracie comes from a background of personal injury. This has led her to find relief from exercise and stretch, and to teach others to do the same. “I am willing to sit on each machine and show you how it works or to get on a bike across from you if it helps you stay motivated to move.” “It is a safe, non-judging environment to come get started moving. You pick what type of exercise you do, I am just there as a sound board and guidance.”
